Police investigating carjacking of FedEx driver

HOUSTON – A FedEx driver was making deliveries Tuesday afternoon when police say she was carjacked at knifepoint.

Houston police say the 28-year-old female FedEx driver was in the 9700 block of Scott Street when she stopped the delivery truck to make sure that the back door was locked.

As she was getting back in the truck, she told police a black man with a knife came up from behind and forced her in the driver's seat.

The woman said the carjacker was about 6 feet tall and weighed more than 300 pounds. He rode in the passenger seat and ordered the woman to drive around for about 45 minutes.

According to police, the man told her to pull over at a gas station at 288 and Yellowstone Boulevard, but before she could put the truck in park he pushed her out of the vehicle and took off.
