Police investigate after 18-year-old shot, killed

NORTHEAST HARRIS COUNTY – Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenager dead.

Police said around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, a group of juveniles were in the backyard of a home on Nyssa in northeast Harris County.

That's when someone shot the 18-year-old, who was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The victim's name was not released. 

A motive for the shooting has not been confirmed, however, police said they took the other teenagers downtown for questioning.
