CONROE, Texas – A mother and her 11-month-old baby were killed in a crash Thursday in Conroe, authorities said. The woman’s 2-year-old child was taken to the hospital.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the 24-year-old mother was driving just before 3:15 p.m. along the 11100 block of FM-1484 near Rose Road when she lost control and swerved into oncoming traffic. The woman's car was t-boned by an SUV, deputies said.
Both victims died at the scene, investigators said.
The 2-year-old was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital. The child’s condition is unknown.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Conroe Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
