2 men arrested after throwing rocks at homes, breaking in

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Montgomery County deputies have arrested two men who they said used rocks and bricks to shatter windows and break into at least one home in the Village of Sterling Ridge subdivision in The Woodlands.

“It was bedtime and suddenly I heard this crash in my window and I woke up,” said David Sanchez.

The noise terrified the father and husband at his home on Planchard late Tuesday night.

“I thought someone was inside my house and then all of a sudden I start screaming, 'Who's inside? Who's inside? Who's there?'”

When he went outside, Sanchez said, the culprits were gone.

Deputies caught Matthew Fields, 21, and Brady Dorsey, 19. They're charged with burglary.

Investigators said the pair threw rocks and bricks at windows at several homes nearby to see if anyone was home. If it appeared empty, the men would break into the home.

Deputies said that's what happened at a home on South Star Ridge Circle. They say the two stole a TV and other electronics.

The crime spree had residents on alert.

“I'm really insecure. From now on, I will turn on the light on all night and an indoor light as well," said Sanchez.?
