Houston – A memorial service to celebrate the life of Bum Phillips is scheduled for Tuesday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m. Lakewood Church.
Former Oilers and coaches from the Luv Ya Blue era will tell stories about Phillips, who died Friday night at his ranch in Goliad.
Phillips is being buried in a private ceremony on his ranch.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Bum Phillips Charities to help build a home for deaf children on the Phillips' ranch.
