Crime Stoppers offers $5k reward for capture

HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division are asking for the public’s help identifying a man in connection with a jewelry store robbery.

A man pretending to be a customer robbed a jewelry store in the 500 block of Almeda Mall Friday, June 17, at about 10:45 a.m., police said.

The man asked an employee to see a piece of jewelry that was inside a display case. According to police, as the employee pulled out the jewelry, the man ripped the item from the employee’s hand.
