A METRO police officer spotted the car around the 500 block of F.M. 1960 early Thursday, because of the driver's erratic driving.

After running the license plate, the officer discovered the car was stolen, officials said.

A chase, which lasted 10 minutes, ended off the North Freeway and Northpark Central Dr. at the Tom Peacock Nissan dealership.

The man ran, but police said he was caught after officers set up a perimeter and used K-9 to search for him.

Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables said the car was taken from one of four homes he targeted in the area.

In all, investigators said the man stole multiple weapons including a shotgun and a semi-automatic weapon.

Investigators said one of homeowners confronted the burglar and the burglar threatened him with a weapon.

No injuries were reported.
