Man stabbed to death outside southeast Houston bar

HOUSTON – Officers spent more than five hours investigating, after a man was stabbed to death outside of a southeast Houston bar.

Detectives collected evidence both inside and outside El Destino, a bar off Winkler Drive and Telephone Road.

Investigators said officers responded to a call about a disturbance at the night club around 11:30 Sunday night.
 
According to police, at some point during the altercation, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times.

By the time officers arrived, the suspect had fled and the victim was dead.

Detectives said they were questioning one person of interest early Monday morning.
