HOUSTON – Houston police were led on a chase through northwest Houston Sunday night.

Police said a man, originally suspected of kidnapping, was spotted at a gas station on Airline at West Crosstimbers, but refused officers' commands to stop.

Police said the man then led officers on a 15 minute long chase through a neighborhood before crashing his SUV and taking off on foot.

"He actually ran his vehicle through a fence, was actually underneath a house and one of our k-9 units was able to get him to come out," said Sgt. JL French, Houston Police Department.

Officers later determined there was no kidnapping, but rather an argument between the suspect and a woman believed to be his girlfriend.

A small amount of drugs were found in the man's vehicle after he was arrested.

No one was hurt.
