HOUSTON – A driver was killed after flipping his car on the Katy Freeway near downtown Houston.
It happened just after 11 p.m. Sunday on the Patterson exit ramp of the freeway.

Houston police said the 36-year-old driver was going westbound when he tried to make a quick lane change, when he hit a guard rail causing his car to flip.
The man died at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Police are investigating, but at this point do not believe alcohol was involved.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
