Man gets prison term for having child porn

HOUSTON – A Houston man has been sentenced to spend more than six years in prison for possessing thousands of images of child pornography.

Christopher Clark Pollett, 64, was ordered to serve 78 months in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography.

Pollett was employed by Neighborhood Centers Inc., a nonprofit organization that runs after-school and community development programs in southwest Houston.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, investigators started tracking Pollett after an officer was able to download video and images of child pornography from his computer.

Investigators said they searched Pollett's home and found 8 mm film reels, books and binders that contained images of nude children. Detectives said they found more than 17,000 images and about 400 videos.

Once Pollett finishes his prison term, he will be on supervised release for the rest of his life. He will also be required to register as a sex offender and pay $21,000 in restitution to the victims and a fine of $7,800.
