HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department's homicide team is investigating after a man is killed after falling into an industrial shredder in northwest Houston.
The accident happened at Consolidated Distributors, an appliance supply business located at 1247 W. 34th Street.
According to police, the 43-year-old man was working on a device that was rotating in the back of a truck and fell into an industrial shredder at the business.
Local 2's Jennifer Bauer reported the business was open at the time of the accident.
Authorities said the victim died from his wounds.
Police have not released the man's name.
The incident was being treated as an accidental death.
