Officials said the driver took off speeding, leading officers on a chase while running several red lights.

Police set up spikes at Bauman at Tidwell. Officers said the driver got a flat tire, but continued to 34th Street until he drove into a field.

Officers quickly took the man into custody.

Police said the man had recently bought crack and that's why he would not pull over.
