FRIENDSWOOD, Texas – A man is in custody Saturday after police said he stole a Houston Fire Department ambulance.
Officials said police caught up to the ambulance and chased the driver to Pine Hollow Drive and Greenbriar Drive in the Friendswood area.

Police said the ambulance was stolen from the Southeast Memorial Hermann Hospital.
It is unknown if the man who stole the ambulance was a patient at the hospital.
