Man accused of stalking fmr. girlfriend, killing her dog

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Authorities say a man accused of stalking his former girlfriend and killing her dog is behind bars.

The former girlfriend of Christopher Forkah, 20, contacted the Harris County Sheriff's Office on March 6 to report a serious of violent behaviors.

The woman told authorities that around Feb. 23, she saw Forkah standing outside her north Harris County apartment. She saw him cut one of his fingers with a pair of scissors, walk towards her door and then leave. The woman said she found a cross made with blood on her door.

Court documents state the woman received threatening phone calls, text messages and voice mails from Forkah between Feb. 23 and March 6. In one of the voice mails, Forkah threatened to "leave her in pieces."

The woman told authorities when she returned to her apartment on March 6 she found her pit bull had been mutilated.

Forkah was the only other person who had a key to her apartment and the door was locked when she returned home, according to court documents.

The woman said after finding the blood on her door, receiving the threatening phone calls and finding her dog's body caused her to fear for her for her safety and her life.

Forkah is charged with stalking and his being held in the Harris County Jail on no bond.
