Man charged in stabbing ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend arrested

BAYTOWN, Texas – A man accused of stabbing another man and woman at their home in Baytown has been arrested. 

Investigators said police were called around 1 a.m. Thursday to the 3400 block of Cobblestone Lane where a Kendell Lee Lestrich, 33, stabbed his ex-girlfriend in the back with a knife.

Officials said the Lestrich also stabbed the woman's current boyfriend twice in the abdomen. 

According to police Lestrich showed up at the woman's home early Thursday and assaulted both of the victims. He stabbed them multiple times while they attempted to fight him off.

The victim's were taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital where officials said they were treated for their injuries and listed in stable condition.

Lestrich was found in the 1900 block of Interstate 10 attempting to flee the city on a bus to Louisiana, police said. He is charged with felony evading and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
