HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers and the Texas Attorney General's Office are asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted for a parole violation.

Justin Leigh Venegas, 33, is wanted for a parole violation on the original charge of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit an assault, authorities said.

Venegas cut off his GPS ankle monitor. Authorities said he has fled from his last known residence in LaPorte.

Venegas may be driving a gray Kia Optima with Texas license plate FYH-7008, Crime Stoppers said.

Venegas is described as a Hispanic man who is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Crime Stoppers said it will pay a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect(s) in this case. Information may be reported by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), online at crime-stoppers.org, texting TIP610 plus the information to CRIMES (274637) or via the Crime Stoppers Houston mobile app. Authorities said all tipsters remain anonymous.
