Investigators were looking into the theft of more than $250,000 from Bolivar Barge Cleaning Services in Santa Fe.

Lopez has been accused of forging numerous business checks and depositing them to her personal account.

Investigators sai, the proceeds of the theft were used by Lopez for extravagant purchases including a 2013 Dodge Challenger, jewelry and designer purses and clothing.

A search warrant at her home resulted in the recovery of the Dodge Challenger, several pieces of expensive jewelry, and numerous designer items.

Lopez has been charged with theft over $200,000 and is being held on a bond of $500,000.

Lopez was on felony probation for an identical offense committed in 2005 at a La Marque business, police said.

Investigators believe Lopez acted alone and family members were unaware of the theft.
