Twenty-eight-year-old Jonathan Christopher Allee was arrested at a home in Humble Friday afternoon and charged with murder. Police believe he killed his wife, Elizabeth Ferrell.

A fisherman found her body in the bay in Iberville Parish.

"Thankfully, with all the crawfisherman and the fish biting, we were able to find this body almost immediately," Sheriff Brett Stassi said. "At this time, we don't know of any reason other than a road trip that would have brought her to Louisiana."

Ferrell's family said she sometimes visited Louisiana but didn't tell anyone about what would be her last trip.

She leaves behind two children, ages 5 and 1.

A GoFundMe Page has been set up to assist with funeral expenses.
