HOUSTON – A Houston police officer is recovering after investigators say he was involved in a major accident on Highway 290 at Hollister Road in northwest Harris County.
Investigators said around 4 a.m. Saturday, the officer was trying to block traffic because of another accident, when a pickup truck hit his patrol car.

Both the officer and the driver of the truck were taken to the hospital.
No word if the driver faces any charges.
