Nearby neighbors just finding out about the shooting shocked by what happened.

Aziz Muminov, another neighbor explained, "It's a nice neighborhood, everyone is stays out and friendly. This is the first I've heard something happen like this."

It's still unclear exactly what led to the shooting and something police are still piecing together.

The man was rushed to Memorial Herman in unknown condition and homicide detectives continue investigating.

As they do that, neighbors just want whoever is responsible for the shooting to be caught.

Grinnell said, "Honestly the odds seem low that would happen to my unit, but that's always in the back of your mind."
