HOUSTON – A FedEx driver is OK after she was carjacked Thursday in the 1500 block of West Bay Area Boulevard in southeast Houston.
Police said a man pulled up to the truck in a gold Suburban SUV just after 11 a.m., pulled out a gun and robbed the driver before taking off in her truck. A witness, who is a concealed gun owner, gave chase until the thief crashed and ran from the truck, police said. The suspect ran into the back of an apartment complex at 950 at FM 1959.

Officers were able to catch the suspect at a motel on the Gulf Freeway at Dixie farm Road.
No injuries were reported.
