FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – An investigation is underway after a man in custody at the Fort Bend County jail was found dead inside his cell.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff's office said Eugene Ethridge, 33, was booked into the jail Sunday on DWI charges. The next day, detention deputies found him dead in his cell.

Deputies believe that Ethridge committed suicide.
The Fort Bend County District Attorney's office is now investigating the death. The case will also be reviewed by the Texas attorney general.
