A man died after hitting a cement barricade on Highway 146, La Porte police said.
The man and his child were traveling north on Highway 146 at Highway 225 around 8 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Authorities said the man lost control of his vehicle and struck a cement barricade.
The father died upon impact and the child was transported with unknown injuries, police said.
Investigators are trying to determine the reason for the crash.
