Houston police said the driver was going north on Barker Cypress in her Mitsubishi Montero.  Police said she was driving at speeds up to 80 miles per hour when she lost control of her car and went off the road, over a curb and into a wooded area in the Addicks Reservoir.

The driver, who police said was in her 20s, was ejected from the car and died at the scene.

Police said they will test to see if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
