Deborah Collura

Deborah Collura is the vice president of news for Post-Newsweek Stations. In 2011, Collura moved to Houston to also take on the role of Managing Director of News for KPRC-TV.

Prior to Houston, Collura spent 14 years at WDIV-TV in Detroit where she worked as News Director and with the Post Newsweek corporate team.

Prior to arriving at WDIV, she was vice president of news at the NBC affiliate, WTVJ-TV in Miami. At KTSP-TV in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Collura served as news director from 1991 to 1993. In Sacramento at KCRA-TV from 1987 to 1991, she became assistant news director after serving as an executive producer.

At KSDK-TV in St. Louis, she was a news producer from 1984 to 1986 and at WREX-TV in Rockford, Ill. she was a news producer and later became executive producer.

Collura's steady movement through the ranks of news management at various stations throughout the country enabled her to develop a management system that would incorporate the best from all her experiences. Over the years, her leadership skills have paid off and she has led her news teams to earn some of the most prestigious broadcast journalism awards, including a DuPont, an Edward R. Murrow and Peabody award.

Collura received her degree in broadcast journalism from Northern Illinois University.

A native of Illinois, she lives in Houston with her husband and son.
