HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting Tuesday in The Heights.
Investigators said the original call came in as a suicide. But in a news release sent later in the morning, HPD said its homicide investigators are looking into the case.

The shooting was reported around 1 a.m. at 3110 White Oak Drive.
The identity of the 45-year-old victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
