Pistol-toting thieves try to rob north Houston convenience store

HOUSTON – Houston police are looking for three men they say robbed a Houston convenience store at gunpoint.

Surveillance video caught the men running into the store in the 200 block of Tidwell Road on June 2 just after 1 p.m.

Police said the men demanded money from the cashier but the cashier and several other employees locked themselves inside a bulletproof enclosure surrounding the cash registers.

The three thieves were unable to get inside the secured area and one of the men fired a shot into the ceiling as they ran from the store and got into a stolen gold Dodge Ram pickup truck, police said.

The would-be crooks are described as black males. One was wearing a black hoodie, a white mask, blue jeans and red Adidas shoes. The second man was wearing a black hoodie, a gray mask, black pants and black shoes. The third was wearing a black hoodie, a black mask, black pants and black shoes.
