Cyber attack on U.S. banks planned

HOUSTON – A new study by internet security firm McAfee says a massive cyber attack is scheduled to hit U.S. bank accounts with plans to siphon your money.

McAffee says about 30 financial institutions are at risk of the attack by this upcoming Spring. They include Wells Fargo, Citibank, Capital One, and Paypal.

The plot was discovered in September, and the malware has been lying dormant in American financial systems.

Some customers are concerned.

"I probably would look into it and maybe look at the banks that are targets and maybe transfer money into lower key banks that maybe aren't as high profile," said Cynthia Cole.

Experts believe the attack will focus almost exclusively on American institutions.
