HOUSTON – A bicyclist was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after being struck by a Metro Light Rail near downtown Houston.
It happened in the 1900 block of North Main and Quitman around 2 p.m.

According to Metro officials, the man disregarded warnings from the train and was trying to ride across the tracks when he was hit.
He was transported to Ben Taub Hospital with head trauma.
Metro police is investigating the incident.
