Authorities look for woman accused of stealing $34K from Tomball man

HOUSTON – Houston police are on the hunt for a persuasive 29-year-old woman accused of taking a 67-year-old Tomball man for more than $34,000.

She is accused of convincing the man to take her on a shopping spree through high-end stores and other retailers in Houston.

When Channel 2 Investigates went looking for Susi Calabrese, we found the home she was living in vacant and a padlock on the front door.

Now Calabrese is being sought by police on suspicion of felony theft of an elderly person.

Detectives said she told Charles Foster of Tomball that her husband had just died and she had her home had flooded out recently.

According to court records, she told Foster she was expecting a huge check from her insurance company and would pay him back whatever he spent on her, plus $10,000 more, if he would buy her what she needed.

At a CVS drugstore, she convinced Foster to buy her close to $5,000 worth of gift cards, according to court records.

At Palais Royal, she is accused of tricking him into buying close to $1,700 worth of children’s clothing, children’s shoes and expensive handbags.

At Victoria’s Secret, police said she spent $977 of his money on ladies' undergarments, lingerie, perfume and cosmetics.

And at Jared the Galleria of Jewelry, she is accused of manipulating the man into spending more than $16,000 on a Rolex watch, a necklace and earrings.

Police are trying track Calabrese down.
