Family identifies man killed in second northeast Harris County shooting
HOUSTON – A man was killed Monday in a shooting in northeast Harris County, according to deputies.
The shooting was reported about 8 a.m. on Kindred Street near Beaumont Highway.
According to Harris County deputies, a caller said that a man, who family identified as Thornton Bivens, was shot by someone. The shooter fled the scene.
It was not immediately clear whether this shooting was related to another shooting that was reported about two hours earlier on Greencanyon Drive .
Bivens' sister said she didn't know of anyone who would want to kill him.
