Amber Alert canceled, 9-year-old Cameron Gokey found safe

HOUSTON – Authorities located Cameron Gokey shortly before midnight, after issuing an Amber Alert for the missing 9-year-old.

Police issued an Amber Alert Thursday evening for the boy, who was last seen with his mother. Police believe she is emotionally unstable.

Police were searching for Cameron Gokey, 9, who was last seen Thursday at 12:30 p.m. when his mother, Allison Gokey, 37, reportedly checked him out of Krahn Elementary School.

Cameron is white, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 4 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 40-50 pounds.

Allison is described as white, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds.

Police said Allison Gokey is believed to be emotionally unstable and that Cameron Gokey could be at risk.

Allison was last seen driving a 2012 blue Ford Escape with Texas license plate number K1G8DV.
