Officials said the people were in the 8th floor mailroom and got sick after reporting a suspicious package.

The 8th floor was evacuated and the Houston Fire Department's Hazardous Materials Team was called to investigate.

Officials said the substance was a non-hazardous material, but could potentially cause "some degree of irritation."

Authorities said washing of the hands and face should relieve the symptoms.

The people who were experiencing headaches were being treated and released.
