HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A former junior high teacher and coach has been charged with online solicitation of a minor.
There was no comment from a woman who answered the door at the home of 43-year-old Whit Kimble Mitchell in Cypress Saturday night.
Court documents show he is a teacher and coach at W.C. Schultz Junior High in the Waller Independent School District.
Documents show Mitchell sent a 16-year old-girl an email that read, "When can I have you...Please tell me where to find you and the time. I want you so bad."
According to court documents, Mitchell described, in graphic terms, what he wanted to do with the student who he met when she was a junior high student.
Documents show the two first casually talked in person, but the conversations turned sexual.
Prosecutors said the two communicated through email after she went to high school.
In court documents, investigators said Mitchell confessed to sending the email.
Investigators believe it to be an isolated incident, the school district said.
Mitchell is out of jail on a $30,000 bond.
He resigned as a result of the investigation.
Waller ISD sent a statement to KPRC 2 on Sunday that read, "The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. The Waller Independent School District will not tolerate an employee who engages in inappropriate communications with children. All Waller ISD employees are expected to serve as role models for our students and demonstrate exemplary conduct. Due to the active investigation, the district is prohibited from releasing additional information at this time."
Additional counselors will be on the school campus to assist students and staff members.
