3 men wanted after woman killed in apartment complex parking lot

2 other women robbed during attack

HOUSTON – Police are looking for three men who attacked and robbed three women, killing one of them, in the parking lot of a northwest Houston apartment complex.

Houston police said it happened under a car port at a complex near Rosamond and Dowber late Sunday night.

Detectives said the three women were visiting from the Austin area.

Police said the women were meeting the men to buy marijuana.

"When they arrived, they found a victim, a female victim, had been shot and killed in the vehicle and two others with her, they came to the complex. They had met some men down the street who directed them to this location," said Sgt. Robert Odom.

The women are related, officials said. The deceased woman was identified as 24-year-old Camille LaTrece Ross.

Police weren't able to give a detailed description of what the killers look like, but witnesses described their getaway vehicle as a newer-model black Dodge quad cab pick-up truck. That vehicle was later found abandoned.

Anyone with information is asked to call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
