Teen girl assaulted inside CVS; police search for person of interest

SOUTHSIDE PLACE, Texas – Police are looking for man they said sexually assaulted a girl in a bathroom of a store in Southside Place.

"It's scary. You don't know. There's creeps everywhere. It's very sad," said Debbie Crow.

Customers like Crow were alarmed to hear what happened at their neighborhood CVS store.

Police said a man with a white towel over his shoulder walked into the store on Bellaire Boulevard and Stella Link Road in mid-October. They said he quickly made his way to the bathroom. Police said a young teenage girl went in after him and that's where he sexually assaulted her.

"It makes me sick. I have two young daughters and I have a 10-year-old son," said Crow.

Parents told KPRC Channel 2 others need to have their guard up.

"We're suppose to protect our kids. We're not suppose to put them in danger or harm's way," said Glen Jenkins.

"Even sometimes, I'm not comfortable just saying at my 10-year-old just go to the bathroom. I think sometimes you have to actually walk them there and make sure the surroundings are safe and make sure you see them come out," said Crow.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police.
