$1.4M in cocaine confiscated during traffic stop in Fort Bend County

ROSENBERG, Texas – The Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force has confiscated a large amount of cocaine in Rosenberg.

While working along Highway 59 north at FM 2218, investigators conducted a traffic stop of a tractor-trailer rig for a traffic violation.

During the roadside investigation, deputies say a detective and his K-9 partner, RIK, located 48 bundles of cocaine concealed in two suit cases located in the trailer portion of the tractor-trailer.

The cocaine weighed approximately 115.4 pounds with a street value of more than $1,460,000, deputies say.

Charges are pending further investigation.
