Rodeo Houston sets attendance record

Rain did not keep people away for Go Tejano Day

HOUSTON – Monday marks the start of the last week of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and organizers are celebrating their latest attendance record.

This weekend's heavy rain did not keep people away from Go Tejano Day.

Both Duelo and El Original Banda De Limon took the stage in front of a record crowd Sunday.

Approximately 74,588 people paid to see the rodeo, breaking the record set back in 2010 of 74,222. That record was also Go Tejano Day.

The rodeo is now starting its Spring Break Stampede concerts.

The Zac Brown Band will be hitting the revolving stage Monday night.
