Annie Lennox pokes fun at radio station that thinks she's new to music

It appears they don't know Lennox has been making music for more than 40 years, and that she was discovered decades ago -- and has experienced worldwide fame.

The artist took to Facebook to share the blunder.

“I think I’m in with a chance,” Lennox said alongside the picture of the email. She is told they came across her music online and really like what they heard, urging that the singer should send her music in for consideration.

I think I'm in with a chance ??!!!

Lennox shared a follow up post, explaining that these kind of scams are sent to aspiring musicians every day, stating her digital team receives hundreds daily.

In the email, Lennox is asked to sign up for an artist development firm that claims to get her onto 150 radio stations worldwide.

“Companies reaching out cold to help you, sending emails that are clearly formulaic with links asking for cash to upload your tracks are a very dodgy business indeed and not one I want to see anyone fall foul of,” Lennox said.
