HOUSTON – The winners of the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo have been announced.
Organizers said barbecue connoisseurs from around the globe flocked to Houston Thursday through Saturday to show off their creative cooking skills.

Darren and Sherry Warth of Iowa's Smokey D's BBQ -- a husband and wife duo from Des Moines, Iowa -- took home the overall grand champion cooking team award, organizers said.
"My dream was to win Houston, [and] here it is," Darren Warth said. "I've been on every major barbecue stage and nothing compares to Houston."
Organizers said winners were chosen from 266 teams. The winners are:
