Authorities search for social media predator

Allegedly contacting high school females

CROSBY, Texas – Authorities in Crosby are trying to track down a potential predator who's allegedly trying to contact high school females through social media.

Crosby ISD administrators say three families have contacted them about an adult male trying to contact their daughters who attend Crosby High School.

Administrators said the man has offered the girls gifts, even money in an attempt to entice them into meeting him.

Thursday the high school's principal sent a pre-recorded message to parents, and sent a warning on the school's Facebook page.

"After three reports from our parents, we felt like it was a significant enough danger," said superintendent Dr. Keith Moore. "Not only the three that we knew about, but potentially two other students."

The school and parents are working with police to track down the potential predator, but his identity has not yet been confirmed.
