Nike sues over Lil Nas X โSatan Shoesโ with human blood in soles
Nike filed a trademark infringement lawsuit in federal court on Monday against the company that released a controversial customized version of the sportswear giantโs sneakers in collaboration with rapper Lil Nas X, according to NBC News. The โOld Town Roadโ artist worked with streetwear company MSCHF to release โSatan Shoesโ on Monday. The sneakers are modified Nike Air Max 97s โ decorated with a pentagram pendant and a reference to Luke 10:18, a Bible verse about Satanโs fall from heaven. MSCHF also confirmed to NBC News Sunday that the shoes contained a drop of human blood inside the sole, drawn from members of the MSCHF team. For more on this story, go to NBC News.

Garth Brooks accepted the Icon Award from Cher, who called the country star โa true music legend and my friend Garth Brooks." Guitar rock legend Eddie Van Halen, who died last week, was honored as the show aired a clip of his Billboard Awards performance from 2015. This yearโs Billboard Awards were originally supposed to take place in April but were postponed because of the pandemic.

NEW YORK โ Post Malone is the sunflower of the 2020 Billboard Music Awards. The multi-platinum 25-year-old star scored 16 nominations, dick clark productions and NBC announced Tuesday. Maloneโs nominations include top artist, top male artist, top rap artist and top streaming songs artist. Lil Nas X follows Malone with 13 nominations, while Billie Eilish and Khalid each scored 12 nods. Four of the five songs nominated for top gospel song are from West.
