Houston’s tree pollen is easing up, but allergy season isn’t over yet

4/10 pollen report

Houston’s tree pollen has decreased this week… gradually.

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday tree pollen counts from the Houston Health Department were categorized as heavy, but each day they dropped. Monday’s tree pollen count was 344, Tuesday’s was 277, and Wednesday’s was 138.

Most of the pollen came from Oak trees, but Pecan, Mulberry, Elm, Ash, Willow, Walnut, and Pine all played a role in making you sneeze.

It wasn’t until Thursday and Friday that counts dropped into the medium category.

Improved from early week to late week

Here’s the great news - Houston will begin to see the tree pollen season wind down in a few weeks.

But we are not out of the woods yet. Grass pollen was on the rise this week, going from low to medium.

Check back Monday to see if this decrease in tree pollen continues- Houston Health Department only takes pollen counts Monday through Friday.
