Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it is a meteor!
Saturday, a massive meteor was spotted from North Texas to southeast Texas.
While the fireball was seen from all directions, the meteor exploded in the sky and landed on a home in northwest Harris County.
Not only did it land, but it tore through the roof and parked in a bedroom!
SEE THE DAMAGE: Houston, did you hear the sonic BOOM? A meteor is the culprit!
If you are up for a scavenger hunt, there could be more meteorites scattered across Houston.
NASA is releasing this map of where the meteorites may be.
The colors represent the meteorites’ weights. Dark red is where the meteorites weighed up to 22 pounds. The other colors indicate smaller meteorites.
Neighborhoods in the path include Champion Forest, Cypresswood, Cypress Station, Bammel Road, and even to the edge of I-45.
Let us know if you find a piece of the meteorite!
