Wednesday’s forecast:

With the severe weather behind us, a notable change is on the way for Houston’s weather pattern.

Wednesday morning, temperatures are expected to be within the upper 40s to low 50s in Houston, sticking to the 50s through the morning hours and reaching a high of about 64 degrees in the afternoon. It’ll feel breezy with north winds coming in at 10 to 15 mph and gusts up to 20 mph, so a jacket might be a good idea for the morning commute.

Warming back up Friday:

The cooler weather isn’t expected to last long. We’ll get just two days of cool temperatures before a quick warm-up kicks in for the weekend. Morning lows could dip to 40 degrees at the coldest, staying well above freezing Thursday morning.

By Friday and for Super Bowl Sunday, Houston will get highs in the 70s and near 80°. The warmth is set to stick around well into next week, with temperatures in the 70s straight through next Friday. More rain is in the forecast for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday next week, but we’ll be dry the rest of this week.
