It feels spectacular behind the cold front in Houston! As we go through the next few days we will see mostly sunny skies with low humidity and comfortable temperatures.
Tonight’s Forecast:
Sunset tonight is around 7:14PM and we’ll cool down quick! Temperatures will fall through the 70s and into the 60s by tomorrow morning.
Whenever a strong front pushes through, the temperature drops quickly, but this is a weaker front, and the dry air is moving in slowly. Meaning it’s going to take a couple of days to feel the cooler air. So, what does this mean now that the front has passed? It might not be chilly enough to dig out your Ugg boots, but that doesn’t mean you can’t sip your PSL while walking the kids to school or hitting the park in the mornings over the next couple of days.
Friday’s Forecast:
Friday morning is delightful in the 60s, and the afternoon will also feel wonderful! Forecast highs are in the mid-80s with sunny skies and low humidity.
Tropical outlook:
Gabrielle is now a post-tropical cyclone as it moves east towards Portugal. There is more brewing in the Atlantic.
Tropical Storm Humberto is less than 500 miles east-northeast of the Northern Leeward islands with 40 mph.
We’re also watching showers and thunderstorms organize with a tropical wave near Puerto Rico. A tropical depression is likely to form near the Bahamas late this week. We’ll keep an eye on areas like Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Turks and Calicos Islands as well. This storm will continue to move to the north potentially bringing tropical moisture across the south eastern United States coast.
There are no storms set to impact the Gulf Coast.

Your extended forecast:
The cool front Wednesday night lowers temperatures into the 80s Thursday and Friday. Mornings fall to the upper 60s Friday and Saturday. It will feel great with lower humidity those two days. The humidity starts to climb next weekend.
