HOUSTON – Heat is going to take a back seat (for a little while anyway) as storms will take center stage over the next few days.

As most folks head back to work Tuesday morning, there’s a good chance that not only will roads remain a little wet from overnight storms, but some of us may get an early alarm clock.

Wait, what overnight storms??

These overnight storms! There will be waves of storms sent across Texas over the next few days as a stalled cold front stuck near Dallas will keep us busy in the KPRC2 Weather Center.

There is a chance that these storms will be quite noisy as they move in with plenty of lightning, strong to damaging winds, and heavy downpours.

The biggest question mark for tomorrow morning will be the timing of when to expect the storms. Models have had some consistency to say that an early morning arrival is likely, then pushing down to the coast through sunrise.

Regardless of the timing, it’s a good bet that many of the well-traveled highways around Houston will be soggy Tuesday morning, so best to check in with meteorologists Caroline Brown and Anthony Yanez throughout the day for updates with new model timing!
