Wednesday’s Forecast:

Spotty showers and storm chances in the morning, but storm chances will likely last at least through 7 PM, starting west and moving southeast. You can’t rule out some storms that briefly turn strong, developing gusty winds, but there is no widespread threat of severe storms. Expect locally heavy downpours with storms that may lead to ponding or flooding.

Most of SE Texas has a low threat for flooding Wednesday

However, there is still uncertainty on the exact timing, and the storm may arrive before 9 AM; if that is the case, we could see slowdowns during the morning commute.

A line of storms approach SE Texas Wednesday morning.

Lunch will need to be inside Wednesday as the showers and storms come over Houston. Evening hours there is still a chance for some spotty showers and storms but won’t be as active on radar as storms fizzle.

Showers and storms arrive as a line moves east.

Looking ahead: 10-day forecast
