A shift to a warmer weather pattern
HOUSTON – As we head into the weekend, KPRC 2’s meteorologist Justin Stapleton reports some noticeable changes in the weather pattern. Today, temperatures are expected to hover around 82 degrees, climbing up to 88 degrees by Friday.
While we’ve enjoyed mostly dry conditions, a high-pressure area is sliding east, bringing an end to this calm spell.
Potential storm risks on the horizon
Looking ahead, the weekend brings a slight risk of severe weather, particularly across the I-35 corridor, where there’s about a 15% chance of stronger storms occurring on Saturday.
Easter Sunday might also see showers and thunderstorms popping up during the afternoon as a more active front moves through. It’s something to keep an eye on, especially if you have outdoor plans.
Temperatures and what to expect for the weekend and beyond
While the weather will start to get a bit stickier, it’s important to note the possibility of rain increasing next week. Daily rain chances will be present from Monday through Wednesday, though it’s not expected to be a complete washout.
